WiSe Operators & Adventure Course
The WiSe Operators and Adventure Course is delivered in an online format and lasts around 5 hours, usually over two evening sessions. The course will be delivered by industry experts and cover Cetaceans, Seals, Seabirds, Shoreline and Blue Health.
WiSe course attendees commit to abide by not only national and local laws on wildlife conservation and disturbance avoidance, but also the WiSe Codes of Conduct.
Refresher training is required for all after 3 years to maintain WiSe certification. Trained individuals are added to this website following receipt of their signed declaration. A WiSe Scheme course sticker and logo will be supplied for promotional use to all participants, along with copies of all Codes of Conduct.
WiSe Refresher Course
The WiSe Refresher Course is designed to help certified operators keep their knowledge up to date and maintain high standards of wildlife-safe practice. It provides the latest updates on legislation, best practice and regional considerations, reflecting the fast-changing nature of marine and coastal wildlife management.
*As WiSe is now a registered Community Interest Company, with legal objectives to adhere to, WiSe Directors reserve the right to list operators as suspended on the WiSe listing and website for a period of at least 12 months, if they are convicted of wildlife disturbance and/or receive multiple substantiated complaints. Suspension can be removed after 12 months subject to appropriate demonstration of behaviour change and attending another course.

- WiSe Operator & Adventure Course: Monday 2nd & Thursday 5th March 2026 - online over 2 nights 19:00-21:30.
The course will be delivered by industry experts and cover Cetaceans, Seals, Seabirds, Shoreline and Blue Health.
The cost of this course is £120 per person. WiSe is offering 20% discount for all companies sending 3 or more individuals on a course. -
WiSe Operator & Adventure Refresher Course: Monday 23rd March - online 19:00-21:30.
This course will be covering core modules, including legislation & compliance updates.The cost of this course is £65 per person. WiSe is offering a 10% discount for all companies sending 3 or more individuals on a course.
