The Wildlife Safe (WiSe) Scheme CIC is committed to protecting your personal data and respecting your privacy. We comply fully with UK GDPR and data protection legislation.

We collect only the personal information needed to deliver our training and certification services, including:

  • Course completion and certification records

We do not collect payment card details, sensitive personal data, or information about children under 16. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.

  • Deliver WiSe training courses and certification
  • Maintain accurate certification records
  • List certified operators in our public directory
  • Communicate with you about courses, renewals, and important updates

With consent, we may also send newsletters, request feedback, or share anonymised insights to improve our services.

 

Public Directory

Certified operators are listed in our public directory to help the public identify wildlife-safe operators. This includes business name, general location, operation type and certification status. Personal contact details are not made public unless you request this.

 

Data Sharing

We only share data where necessary to deliver our services, including:

  • Trusted service providers (e.g. website hosting, email systems)
  • Stripe for secure payment processing
  • Licensed WiSe trainers delivering courses

We never sell your data, share it with marketing companies, or pass your details to third parties for their own use.

Your data is stored securely using appropriate technical and organisational measures. We retain personal data for a minimum of six years, in line with legal and operational requirements, or for as long as certification remains active.
